Exposing Looney Left Lie #11 About Medicare: Millions of Poor Seniors Can Change Plans As Often As They Want

One of the typical lefty lies about public Part C Medicare Advantage health plans is that seniors -- particularly the poor and minorities that disproportionately use Medicare Advantage -- are locked into their choice for a year.

That is not true.

If you qualify for Extra Help (about 20% of seniors do!) you can change every month if you want. If you qualify for a State Pharmaceutical Assistance Program (at least another 20% of seniors who do not qualify for Extra Help qualify for a SPAP) can change twice a year. If you have a 5-star plan in your county (very few people do; the Obama administration star-rating plan is a joke) you can also change to it once a year.

It's just another lie from the looney left because it is so angry that Medicare beneficiaries by the millions are choosing what the left considers George W. Bush's version of Medicare (even though the 1997 law creating Part C was substantially the same as a proposal from the far left Urban Institute and was signed into law by President Clinton).
