In one of the strangest of all the strange statements made by RomneyCare apologists, original Massachusetts Healthcare Connector director and former left-wing-Tufts-Health-Plan PR flack Jon Kingsdale takes the cake. He claims that no one called Massachusetts’ so-called health insurance reform “RomneyCare” until Romney ran for president in 2012.
Kingsdale made the claim on a C-Span session on November 24 filled with all the rest of the typical RomneyCare apologist deceptions about employment sponsored insurance remaining the same after the bill passed (see facts in image above), and the cost of individually purchased insurance premiums decreasing 25%. In addition, he did not mention that RomneyCare was effectively repealed in 2012 because of its failure.
