Actually it's unclear what the grandfatherly Channel 5 TV doctor, Dr. Tim, means in what he wrote in the Boston Globe October 10. It implies he thinks former Governor Romney is in favor of killing hundreds of thousands of Americans. Dr. Tim also is arguing against -- apparently -- the recent United States Supreme Court ruling that upheld the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), better known as Obamacare.
I say "unclear" and "apparently: because Dr. Tim's logic is as stretched as his bitter rhetoric. Dr. Tim wrote:
"... the effects of... lack of robust federal supervision (of health care) are disturbing. For example, the independent Institute of Medicine estimated in 1999 that almost 100,000 Americans die every year because of medical errors."
In the diatribe against states rights, Dr. Tim made some incoherent leap from recent healthcare insurance reform (referencing RomneyCare's mandate in Massachusetts and the very inefficient Massachusetts Connector Authority) to 15-year-old health care statistics.
The logic fails on many levels that simply indicate that such lefties will stoop to any deceit to elect Obama and depend on their good TV ratings to hide it:
- Is Dr. Tim arguing that auto insurance in some way causes car accidents?
- Is Dr. Tim arguing that Romney is against health provider (hospital, doctor, nursing home, etc) regulation?
- Is Dr. Tim arguing that there is a relationship between healthcare insurance status and hospital/doctor errors that cause death?
- Is Dr. Tim arguing that there is a relationship between healthcare insurance status and fraud/waste/abuse in Medicare?
Apparently.
