Not since Patti Page sang about our dunes and the breezes by the bay, has anyone done so much for our tourist economy1. The far-left-wing Kaiser Foundation insurance company is paying off far-left-wing journalists with a trip to Massachusetts to hear all about the great success that is Massachusetts 25-year-and-counting health care reform effort (and we're going to keep re-reforming it until we get it right). Don't you lefties on the Globe and at the Middlesex News wish Kaiser would fly you to San Francisco to see how well healthcare reform (and government in general) is working in California?
In a typical resulting story (see link), some lefty bozo journalist goes on for 16 paragraphs about how amazing it is that very few people in Massachusetts objected to the individual mandate. Only in the 17th paragraph does he hypothesize that maybe... just maybe... that's because over 90% of us already had health insurance. Health insurance was invented here for chrissake.
While they are in town to hear how great the reform has worked, I wonder if the far-left-wing journalists have noticed that the legislature is in the process of re-reforming RomneyCare again for the umpteenth time.
1 By the way, I only hope they're coming down here to the Cape to help the tourist economy. But I doubt if these lefty nuts are actually getting out of Harvard and talking to real people paying doubled premiums, higher co-pays and deductibles, etc.
