The Day the InterNet Died

With apologies to Don McLean, a work in progress:

I can't remember if I cried
When I read how the FCC lied.
But it will cost you deep down inside.
The day the Internet died.

So "bye, bye to our high-tech high."
They drove the browser to the sky
Before Obama national-ized it.
And them good old boys that knew Morgridge before they named a street for him in San Jose
Are singing "this will be the day that I die."

It's not a bad as that plane crash in Iowa but it's on the top-five list of worst U.S. government suggestions/decisions of all time.
