SAP's Hasso Plattner Trades CEO for a Player to be Named Later

I don't have anything useful to add to the dozens of blog posts about SAP sacking its CEO on Feburary 7 except that the press release sounded like it was describing a baseball player who had a bad agent as free agency approached. Whatever happened to

"He (or she) left...

...to pursue other interests?"
...spend more time with his (or her) family?"

But surely this co-president thing won't last long. SAP founder Hasso Plattner has to be scrambling to find a replacement.
